I used to believe that confidence came from achieving more. I thought if I worked harder, learned more, and proved myself, the doubt would vanish. But the harder I worked, the more I realised that progress didn’t always make things easier. It wasn’t about doing more—it was about shifting my mindset.
When I started working with a coach, I discovered that confidence isn’t something you work for; it’s something you step into. In a recent coaching conversation, I asked, “How far am I from feeling enough?” The answer? I was already enough. We all are. We just need to keep learning and growing.
Confidence comes from embracing the hard things—the challenges that stretch your thinking and encourage you to step outside your comfort zone. It’s natural to compare yourself to others, but true power lies in recognising and celebrating your unique qualities. When you learn to control and direct your thinking, you become your most supportive ally.
Shortly after, this thought came to me: Step into who you didn’t even know you could become. Confidence isn’t earned through constant effort; it’s uncovered through self-acceptance and growth. And sometimes, all it takes is the right conversation to help you discover what’s been inside you all along.
As a coach, I’m passionate about facilitating those conversations. While it’s possible to uncover this on your own, having a coach can help speed up the process and provide a supportive space for growth. Coaching creates the opportunity to tap into your potential, overcome doubts, and confidently step into who you are meant to be.
