German Conversation Class

Classes will take place at Begbroke Village Hall.

Would you like to build confidence speaking German in a small, supportive group where learning is relaxed and enjoyable?
I’m planning to run a German class on Wednesday evenings, focused on practical language, conversation, and building fluency step by step at the lovely Begbroke Village Hall.

When: Wednesday evenings (18:30-20:30)
Group size: Small group (max. 8 learners)
Level: A2–B2 / intermediate / confident beginners
Focus: Speaking, listening, and real-life German
Cost: £20 per session / £150 for a ten week course

About me

I have Austrian heritage and grew up in Germany. I have been teaching German in the UK since 2005 and have led Languages departments from my third year in the profession.

I am deeply passionate about teaching and helping learners find their own relationship with the language. I love the subject, and that enthusiasm shapes my sessions. They are engaging, thoughtful, and always adapted to the needs of the learner.

Alongside my teaching experience, I am also a trained coach and mentor. I bring those skills into my work by listening carefully, asking thoughtful questions, and supporting learners to take ownership of their learning.

I have worked in grammar schools, independent schools, inner city schools, rural schools, and adult education settings. Across all of these contexts, I have learned that learners are learners. When people understand the value of what they are learning, they engage. My role is to work alongside them to uncover what really matters to them and to build learning around that.
